In his keynote address, PCC Commissioner Michael Peloton emphasized the importance of fair competition in shaping a dynamic and inclusive retail environment. “Fair competition encourages innovation to give customers better choices. It protects consumers by ensuring better prices, more choices, and higher quality of goods and services. In addition, it supports micro, small, and medium enterprises by ensuring that they are not hindered by larger players or unfair market practices” he said. Peloton added, “Together, we can build a market where everyone has a fair chance and where the best businesses succeed, not because of their size or power, but because of the value they bring to the Filipino people.”
