The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) conducted a review on the P1-billion threshold for mergers and acquisitions and finds a sound basis to maintain the current minimum.
The P1-B threshold is found to be reasonably comparable with other jurisdictions that have mandatory notification requirements and economies of comparable size
PCC, however, will continue to monitor the country’s markets and will revisit the threshold level periodically to make sure it is responsive to changes in the markets and the economy.
