The Competition Enforcement Office (CEO) conducted an initial assessment for possible price-fixing conduct of water refilling stations in Cavite City, particularly through fixing the price of alkaline water at PHP 40.00 per container and purified/mineral water at PHP 30.00 per container, in violation of Section 4(a)(1) of the Philippine Competition Act.
During the Full Administrative Investigation, the Cavite City Water Station Owners Association (CCWSOA), a duly recognized Civil Society Organization in Cavite City that is composed of thirty-seven (37) water refilling stations, submitted its Written Proposal for Settlement.
